Description

Clicking on the map would capture the X/Y of the point clicked. These coordinates would then be available to use through the Javascript API.

Provide a way to add a callback from a mouse event, and provide a way to get data coordinates from the event.

This may be able to be solved completely by using feature #82 and adding the appropriate functions.

I suppose you want the data coordinates and not the screen coordinates, right? (Screen coordinates would not be very useful.)

Yes, the data coordinates, thanks!

I notice for things like adding a marker to the map it is placing the marker where you click and assigning the X/Y coordinates to the marker. Is this feature already implemented in some capacity?
